What did the lower-priced jobs include?
The $157.50 job installed a customer-supplied kitchen faucet. The shutoff valves were already in working order, and the total included a recorded discount. That price did not buy a new faucet for the customer.
The $315.50 tub job replaced a diverter spout. The $354 garage sink job replaced a failed visible shutoff valve and tested the supply. These were different fixes, even though each involved a small part near a fixture.
Access and supplied parts matter
The $410.12 job secured a sink under a granite counter and sealed the edge. Access was tight around the disposal and filter. The work kept the old sink.
The $372 job installed a filter system and a tap through granite. The customer supplied the filter, tank, pump, UV unit and tap. We tested the setup and checked for leaks. The system’s purchase price is outside this total.
The $489.50 job was an outdoor hose faucet repair. It included shutting off the water and testing for leaks after the work. The quote assumed we could reach and use the water shutoff.
Why was the largest job $755?
The $755 job included work on a supplied shower panel. We cut the openings, fitted and sealed the panel, then fitted a shower head and trim at the valve. That is more work than a tub spout swap.
