Door repair costs in Fort Worth: prices from real jobs

By

Owner & Operations Manager

I’m Chance O’Shel, owner of The Smart Fix Handyman. Our team fixes doors in Fort Worth, and I put this guide together from a sample of our local job records.

If your door sticks or won’t latch, you want to know what it will take to fix it. Below, I’ll show you what we charged for specific repairs and which details to check in your own quote.

What each door job cost

The eight records cover hardware work, a jamb repair and weather seals. They exclude full door replacements, car doors and overhead garage-door systems.

Work completed Smart Fix job price
Door hardware repair or replacement $95.00
Deadbolt installation $195.00
Back door weatherstrip replacement $242.70
Latch-side jamb repair $280.00
Commercial entry door closer replacement $369.51
Door repair with materials and an assessment credit $372.00
Door repair with materials $687.50
Commercial door closer work $762.00

Eight Smart Fix Fort Worth door job totals, sorted from $95 to $762; the median is $324.76.

Smart Fix records, March 26–September 18, 2026. Each bar is one job. Two records involve commercial door closers.

Why did one job cost $195 and another $762?

The $195 job was a deadbolt install. The $762 job involved commercial door closers. Both sit under “door repair,” but the parts and work were different. Match your problem to the work in the table before using a price as a guide.

For a closer or lock, send a photo of the part and its model label if you can reach it safely. For a sticking door, show where it rubs. That tells us more than “door repair” alone.

The $280 jamb repair is a different task again. It concerns the frame at the latch, rather than simply fitting a new lock. See the repairs we handle on our door repair service page.

What goes into the final repair price?

The back door weatherstrip job lists $210 in labor and $39 in materials. A $6.30 discount brought its total to $242.70. That is the amount used in this report.

For the $372 repair, an assessment charge and matching credit cancel each other out. That credit is already included in the total. When you’re comparing quotes, check how any assessment fee applies to the repair.

Ask which parts your quote includes, too. A repair that needs a new closer will have different costs than one that only needs an adjustment.

About these prices

We analyzed eight completed door repair jobs from Smart Fix records reviewed on September 20, 2026. We matched each job total to its invoices and counted each job once.
