What did the jobs cost?
Four of the 10 jobs cost less than $500. Four reached $1,000 or more. The median was $820.99, while the average was $1,006.97. The larger projects pulled that average up.

Which prices include the finish work?
These five examples were chosen for their different scopes. They are part of the full sample shown above.

The $1,730 attic ladder job went beyond fitting a new ladder. It included trim around the opening, caulk and paint. The ladder work was $840; the other labor and materials brought the whole job to $1,730. A ladder-only quote would cover less work.
The $1,098 grout and wall-patch job had different limits. The customer supplied the grout and planned to do the final silicone. The wall patches did not include paint. By contrast, the $990.75 ceiling repair included texture, primer and paint.

What made the largest repair a bigger project?
The $2,837 job replaced damaged soffit, the panels beneath the roof edge. The scope included work at ground level and at the second story. It called for scaffold setup, new panels, sealed joints and exterior paint, followed by cleanup.
That scope helps explain why it sits far above the $110 wood-panel repair. The smaller job resecured an existing panel with anchors and sealed its seams. Both involved exterior work, but one kept the panel and the other replaced several sections.
