Handyman costs in Haslet: prices from real local jobs

By

Owner & Operations Manager

I’m Chance O’Shel, owner of The Smart Fix Handyman. We serve Haslet, and I put this guide together from a sample of our local work.

A small fixture change and a long repair list both count as handyman work. The Haslet records show that spread clearly. I want you to see what went into the larger prices before using an average for your own project.

What these jobs cost

Seven of the 17 jobs came in under $500, while eight reached $1,000 or more. That mix matters if you’re trying to budget for a short repair visit.

Smart Fix Haslet handyman prices: 17 jobs from $148 to $8,319.62, with a $943.18 median.

Smart Fix, 17 jobs, January 29 to September 16, 2026. The chart includes the whole price of each job.

The average was $1,318.97, above the $943.18 median. The largest project cost $8,319.62 and included far more than painting one room. Here are five examples chosen to show the range of work.

Work included Smart Fix job price
Showerhead replacement $148
Cabinet-bottom replacement with drywall and paint work $495
Exterior trim and vent work, plus garage ceiling repairs $943.18
Cabinet hinges and handles across 50 doors and drawers $1,606.50
Interior and exterior painting with wall, trim and masonry repairs $8,319.62

Why the biggest project isn’t a painting rate

The $8,319.62 project listed both interior and exterior painting. It also covered drywall, trim and caulking, with brick and concrete work. The total included $1,820 for materials.

If you only need a wall painted, that full project price isn’t a close match. For interior painting, tell us which surfaces need paint and what needs repair first. Wall area and finish details belong in the quote. We cannot turn that mixed work into a paint price per square foot.

A cabinet repair and a hardware update buy different work

The $495 job replaced a cabinet bottom and included drywall and paint work. The $1,606.50 job changed hinges and handles. It covered 50 cabinet doors and drawers. Its material list included 100 hinges and 50 handles or knobs.

That count is useful when you describe a similar update. Send the number of doors and drawers, plus photos of the hinges you have. For cabinet repairs, show the damaged wood as well as the hardware. Replacing a cabinet bottom calls for a different plan than changing handles.

Ask what needs finishing after the repair

The $943.18 job combined exterior work with two garage ceiling patches. Those patches included texture, primer and paint. The total covers that whole list.

Before comparing it with another quote, check the finish you want. A patched opening ready for paint and a painted ceiling are different stopping points. Having that detail in writing gives us a clear target.

About these prices

We reviewed 17 completed Haslet jobs from Smart Fix records saved on September 20, 2026. Each job total matches its invoice or invoices. Each job counts once, including jobs with several tasks. Prices include parts and tax charged, after any credits or discounts.

The median is the middle price after sorting. Dates use work-start records, with scheduled dates used where a work start was missing. Cities follow the job address records. Customer details stay private. These past prices describe our sample; new work needs its own quote.
