A cabinet that has come loose and a kitchen with a poor layout can both lead you to search for a contractor. They need very different plans. That’s the most useful starting point when comparing Smart Fix with DFW Improved in Dallas.

Our reason for including it is the published design-and-build scope. We aren’t treating a company slogan as proof of better workmanship. Ask to see a completed project with a layout problem like yours, then find out who would manage your job.
The company’s Dallas service page provides local context. Its BBB profile showed A+ and accredited status when checked. BBB status is background information, separate from customer reviews and the quality of a particular build.
Where a repair estimate can be enough
Smart Fix is worth contacting when you can describe the work you want: repair a door frame, patch a wall, or replace damaged trim. Start with our Dallas services and send photos.
For example, our Dallas door repair and replacement project covered a back door with hardware, two interior doors, and loose trim. The recorded price was $3,187. It gives you a real example of a defined repair scope, rather than an invented “typical” bill.
That doesn’t mean DFW Improved refuses smaller work. Its main site includes repair services as well as larger renovations. Ask about its minimum scope instead of ruling it out based on the remodeler label.

A bid with drawings, project management, and material selections includes work beyond installation. Have each company name those services and their cost. You can then decide which ones your project needs.
What is known about price and warranty?
Smart Fix’s rate is $145 an hour with a $170 repair minimum. A phone or photo review is free; a $95 Smart Scan is an in-person assessment. Those rates help with a repair discussion, but multiplying them by a guessed number of hours won’t produce a reliable kitchen-remodel budget.
We don’t have a matching DFW Improved quote for the same job. Its kitchen page advertises a one-year workmanship warranty. Smart Fix has a written one-year labor guarantee. Request the terms attached to your own proposal, including the treatment of supplied products and existing conditions.
