Before choosing a Dallas drywall company, decide how finished you want the wall to be. A patch ready for paint and a wall that has been repaired and repainted are different jobs. The best quote for you should say which one you’re buying.
Smart Fix publishes this guide and is included below. We checked the linked sources on September 20, 2026. These are options selected for their published Dallas-area services, not a ranking based on hiring or testing the crews.
Five options for different scopes
| Company | Why it’s worth a look | Check before booking |
|---|---|---|
| The Patch Boys of East and South Dallas | A service built around wall and ceiling repairs | Branch coverage and the painted area |
| Stone Drywall Solutions | Drywall work plus related painting services | Whether the quote covers repair or broader refinishing |
| Mr. Handyman of Dallas | Wall repairs within a mixed home-repair list | Minimum charge and finishing visits |
| Ace Handyman Services Dallas | Time packages that may suit several tasks | Whether all patching stages fit the package |
| Smart Fix | Documented local repairs with clear finish choices | Patch-only versus texture-and-paint scope |
The Patch Boys of East and South Dallas
This Patch Boys branch lists drywall and ceiling repairs, texture matching, and finish painting. Its specialist focus is a reason to request a quote when the wall itself is the main job.
Ask the office to confirm your ZIP code. The branch name matters because another Patch Boys location may cover a different part of the metroplex.
For a textured ceiling, send a close-up of the existing pattern and a wider shot in normal light. Ask what area the proposed finish will cover. A repair can be sound while the edge of the texture change remains visible.
Stone Drywall Solutions
Stone Drywall Solutions lists drywall installation and repair alongside painting. That makes it worth considering when the work spans more than a single hole, such as several damaged surfaces during a room update.
Ask it to separate the repair area from any optional full-wall or full-room work. That lets you decide how much refinishing you want without losing track of the core repair.
If you are comparing bids for a larger wall area, ask each contractor to explain the preparation and finish it proposes. Avoid choosing from a square-foot price that leaves those steps unclear.
Mr. Handyman of Dallas
Mr. Handyman’s Dallas office offers drywall work within a broader home-repair service. It belongs on the list when your wall repair sits alongside trim, door, or cabinet work.
Request one estimate with each task named. Ask which work can happen during the same visit and what needs a return. The convenience of one booking has value only if the scope and schedule suit your home.

Ace Handyman Services Dallas
Ace Dallas advertises four- and eight-hour labor packages. That pricing format may suit a larger repair list, but drying and finishing stages can complicate a drywall job.
Ask whether a return visit is included and whether unused package time can carry over. Have the office confirm the current offer and its conditions.
The useful comparison is the cost of the finished wall. A package price alone doesn’t answer that question.
Smart Fix
Smart Fix offers drywall repair, with a $170 repair minimum and a $145 hourly rate. A phone or photo review is free; a $95 Smart Scan is an in-person assessment.
Our Dallas drywall patch project was recorded at $513.25 and left unpainted at the customer’s request. The project page documents that limit. It’s a useful example of a job where “finished” meant ready for the customer’s next step.
We publish our own work here, so it shouldn’t be treated as an independent endorsement. Compare it with similar project evidence from the other companies.
Ask for these details in the drywall quote
Have the contractor name the repair area and describe the texture. Then have it state whether primer and paint are included, who supplies the paint, and how much wall will be painted.
If the damage followed a leak, tell the contractor what has been done to address the source. Ask whether the surface is ready for repair. Covering the visible damage won’t settle an unresolved problem behind it.
Finally, ask about dust protection and how long the room will be affected. Photos show the finish; the written scope should explain how the crew gets there.
Send Smart Fix a close-up and full-wall photo if you’d like our repair proposal to compare with the specialists above.
